A few months ago I dyed some calico pink Over the weekend I dyed the other fabrics that I need for a project on my Christmas gift list.
I did it in 2 batches over the course of a day (how else does anyone spend their Sunday) Each batch of raw calico needed to be pre-washed then air dried until it was still damp before being put in the dye mixture and being stirred at intervals over an hour.
Its not complicated to make just a tad messy if it gets everywhere but this time I was sure to wipe up spills as they occurred. I now have a multi coloured facecloth that I used to wipe up the spills. I like the colours. It should work out nicely for the project I have in mind.
